Project settings - Office and Home Office Ratio Feature

The Office and Home Office Ratio feature in the Sustainian Jira Plugin provides users with the capability to specify the ratio of office and home office work for existing worklogs within a project. This feature is applicable to worklogs created before the installation of the plugin or those that do not have assigned Workplace attributes. It becomes available once the plugin has been enabled on the project.

Functionality

The Office and Home Office Ratio feature allows users to input the percentage distribution of office and home office work for worklogs within the project. Users can specify values ranging from 1% to 100% for each category. It's important to note that the sum of the office and home office percentages cannot exceed 100%.

How to Use:

1. Accessing the Feature: Once the Sustainian Jira Plugin is enabled on the project and there are existing worklogs, navigate to the project dashboard or the specific issue where worklogs are tracked. This feature can also be accessed by clicking on the ... icon in the Project-related Settings available on the Carbon Footprint Dashboard.

2. Inputting Values:

   • Office Ratio: 'Working at the office' - Enter the percentage of work performed in the office environment. This value should be between 1% and 100%.

   • Home Office Ratio: ‘Working from home’ - Input the percentage of work conducted in the home office setting. This value should also fall between 1% and 100%.

3. Validating Input:

   • Ensure that the sum of the office and home office percentages does not exceed 100%. If the total exceeds 100%, adjust the values accordingly until they equal 100%.

4. Saving Changes: Once the desired ratios are inputted and validated, save the changes to apply the new distribution to the existing worklogs.

Example:

• Office Ratio: 70%

• Home Office Ratio: 30%

In this example, 70% of the work in existing worklogs is attributed to the office environment, while 30% is attributed to the home office environment.

Note: It's recommended to review and adjust the ratios periodically to accurately reflect changes in work environments and patterns.

Troubleshooting:

• If you encounter any issues with inputting or saving the ratios, ensure that the plugin is properly installed and configured for your Jira instance. Check for any error messages or notifications that may provide insights into the problem.

• Verify that there are existing worklogs in the project before attempting to use the Office and Home Office Ratio feature. This feature requires pre-existing worklogs to function correctly.
