Managing Project configuration
Settings Menu Navigation
The left side of the settings interface features a navigation bar listing all the available configuration pages as menu items.
Project configuration menu:
Project configuration - Project Settings: Project Administrators can specify ratios for distributing worklogs that were created before the plugin was installed. This helps in allocating how much work was done in office vs. remotely (home office).
Project configuration - People Settings: This option allows the administrator to designate which users are Contributors and which are Observers within the project.
Project configuration - Environment Setting: Administrators can add and edit different environments related to the project, such as test environments and attach these environments to the project. It also allows setting up the consumption data for these environments.
Project configuration - People Consumption: This setting enables the administrator to assign travel data for office commuting and home office energy consumption data for users listed as Contributors on the project.
Click on any menu item to view or modify specific settings related to that aspect of the plugin's functionality.
Best Practices
Regular Updates: Keep your project settings up to date to reflect any changes in project scope, team composition, or operational strategies.
Data Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of the data entered in the settings, particularly in People Consumption and Environment Settings, to maintain reliable project management and sustainability tracking.
Troubleshooting
If changes do not seem to be taking effect, verify that you have the necessary administrative permissions and that there are no conflicting settings at a higher access level.
For any persistent issues or uncertainties about the settings, read the Sustainian documentation or contact the Support Team for assistance.
For troubleshooting, in addition to the points mentioned above, please make sure to read the general troubleshooting chapter and consult the FAQ section as well. These resources provide comprehensive guidance and can help you resolve any issues more efficiently.
Sustainability Tips
As part of our commitment to supporting your company's environmental efforts, we offer practical tips to help you reduce your carbon footprint. Here's a tip that can make a significant difference in your company:
Comprehensive Sustainability Evaluation Across Organizational Levels
In the quest for sustainability, it's essential not only to assess emission data at the corporate level but also to drill down into smaller units—be it departments, products, or individual projects. This granular approach allows organizations to get a more accurate picture of where their activities have the most significant impact and identify where further improvements can be made.
By analyzing sustainability data across various segments of the organization, companies can pinpoint specific areas for intervention, optimize resource allocation, and ultimately drive more targeted and effective sustainability initiatives. This method ensures that sustainability efforts are not just broad strokes but are finely tuned to the unique needs and impacts of each part of the organization.
